3. What Legal Bases Do We Rely On To Process Your Information?
In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e., legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.
If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on in order to process your personal information. As such, we may rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:
- Consent. We may process your information if you have given us permission (i.e., consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Learn more aboutwithdrawing your consent.

- Send users information about special offers and discounts on our products and services
- Understand how our users use our products and services so we can improve user experience

- For investigations and fraud detection and prevention
- For business transactions provided certain conditions are met
- If it is contained in a witness statement and the collection is necessary to assess, process, or settle an insurance claim
- For identifying injured, ill, or deceased persons and communicating with next of kin
- If we have reasonable grounds to believe an individual has been, is, or may be victim of financial abuse
- If it is reasonable to expect collection and use with consent would compromise the availability or the accuracy of the information and the collection is reasonable for purposes related to investigating a breach of an agreement or a contravention of the laws of Canada or a province
- If disclosure is required to comply with a subpoena, warrant, court order, or rules of the court relating to the production of records
- If it was produced by an individual in the course of their employment, business, or profession and the collection is consistent with the purposes for which the information was produced
- If the collection is solely for journalistic, artistic, or literary purposes
- If the information is publicly available and is specified by the regulations
4. When And With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?
In Short: We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following third parties.
We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
- Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
5. Do We Use Cookies And Other Tracking Technologies?
In Short: We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to gather information when you interact with our Services. Some online tracking technologies help us maintain the security of our Services and your account, prevent crashes, fix bugs, save your preferences, and assist with basic site functions.
We use analytics technologies to understand how the Services are used so we can improve them, and — only with your explicit consent — measurement and advertising technologies to measure the performance of our marketing campaigns. None of these tools run until you grant consent through the cookie banner displayed when you first visit our Website, and you can withdraw that consent at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in our Website footer.
Specific information about how we use such technologies and how you can refuse certain cookies is set out in our Cookie Notice:Cookie policy.
Google Tag Manager and Google Consent Mode v2
We use Google Tag Manager ("GTM"), a tag-management service provided by Google LLC, to load the analytics and (where applicable) advertising tags described below. GTM itself does not collect personal information; it is a container that loads other services subject to the consent state you provide. We operate GTM with Google Consent Mode v2: until you accept the cookie banner, every consent-gated tag loaded by GTM is suppressed and does not place identifiers on your device.
Google Analytics 4
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 ("GA4"), provided by Google LLC, to understand how the Services are used. GA4 sets first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) that record a randomly generated client identifier and aggregate session, traffic-source and page-view metrics. We do not enable Google Signals, and we do not share GA4 data with advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across the Services, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more information on Google's privacy practices, please visit the Google Privacy & Terms page.
Microsoft Clarity
With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Corporation, to generate heatmaps and aggregated session recordings of how visitors interact with the pages of our Website. This helps us improve usability and find broken or confusing UI. Clarity automatically masks sensitive content (form input values, payment fields) and does not record keystroke contents in masked fields. For more information, including how to opt out, see Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
Advertising technologies (only when advertising campaigns are active)
When we run paid advertising campaigns, and only after you grant marketing consent through the cookie banner, we may load the following tags through Google Tag Manager to measure ad performance, build remarketing audiences from people who have visited our Website, and prevent fraudulent ad clicks. We do not load any of these tags until an active campaign requires them, and your consent is recorded separately for the "advertising" category. The relevant processors and their privacy policies are:
- Google Ads conversion and remarketing tags (Google LLC) — Google Privacy & Terms
- Microsoft Advertising (Bing) UET — Microsoft Privacy Statement
- LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company) — LinkedIn Privacy Policy
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) — Meta Privacy Policy
You can revoke your marketing-consent at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of our Website. Doing so immediately stops the corresponding tags from firing during your session and on future visits, and instructs them, via Google Consent Mode v2 signals, to not access cookies or local storage on your device.
Error tracking — Sentry
We use Sentry, provided by Functional Software, Inc. d/b/a Sentry, to collect anonymized client-side error reports (the JavaScript exception, the page URL and a non-identifying browser fingerprint) so we can fix crashes and broken pages. Sentry is classified as a strictly-necessary service because it does not track behavior; it only reports errors when something on the page malfunctions, and we configure it with sendDefaultPii: false so it does not capture IP addresses or other personal identifiers. For more information, see Sentry's Privacy Policy.
6. Do We Offer Artificial Intelligence-based Products?
In Short: We offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies.
As part of our Services, we offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies (collectively, "AI Products"). Your input, output, and personal information may be shared with and processed by these AI Service Providers to enable your use of our AI Products for purposes outlined in "What Legal Bases Do We Rely On To Process Your Personal Information?" You must not use the AI Products in any way that violates the terms or policies of any AI Service Provider.

Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media account details (like your Google or other social logins). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider, which typically includes your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this information only to create and authenticate your account.
We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this Privacy Notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Services. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
After account termination, we retain personal data only for as long as necessary to comply with tax, legal, or regulatory obligations (e.g., retaining billing records for tax reporting) or to resolve disputes. After such period, the data is securely deleted or anonymized.
9. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. 12. Controls For Do-not-track Features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
